The 2016 film The Founder is about a salesman (Ray Kroc) and his path to eventually owning and operating what we now know as the McDonalds Corporation. Excluding some of Ray Kroc's unethical tactics, Ray was an exemplary businessman whose success was reliant on his unwavering ambition and persistence. Ray had vision, and he saw something that could potentially revolutionize the restaurant industry. He saw potential, and recognized talent.

A key take-away from The Founder for any aspiring manager or entrepreneur is Ray's attention to detail. It was his sensitivity to malpractice that propelled his success. He saw where others failed, what did and didn't work, and he seized opportunities where others saw none.
